BlueScope Steel (Thailand) Limited was established in 1995 through a joint venture with Loxley Public Company Limited and is one of Thailand’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of metallic coated and painted flat steel products. The Map Ta Phut plant is BlueScope Steel's largest facility in South East Asia, incorporating a cold rolling mill and pickle line (capacity 400,000 tonnes), metallic coating capability (375,000 tonnes) and a paint line (90,000 tonnes). The business employs over 400 people.

The Map Ta Phut facility operates in tandem with BlueScope Steel’s sister plants in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and China, and the Company has new metallic coating and painting facilities under construction in India.

BlueScope Steel (Thailand) produces well-known brands of steel products such as the market leading ZINCALUME®, Clean COLORBOND®, TRUZINC® and GALVASPAN™ steel.
