LYSAGHT® Purlins and Girts are lightweight structural steel members, designed in accordance with the standard: AS/NZS 4600: 1996 Cold Formed Steel Structures utilising high strength zinc-coated steel.
Material Specification
LYSAGHT® Zed and Cee sections are roll-formed from GALVASPAN® steel complying with AS1397 - 1993. In the grades shown, the numbers prefixed with G indicate minimum yield stress in MPa. The numbers prefixed with Z indicate minimum coating mass in g/m2.
1.0mm BMT: G550, Z275
1.2mm BMT: G500, Z275
1.5, 1.9, 2.4 & 3.0 mm BMT: G450, Z275
LYSAGHT® Cee sections
LYSAGHT® Cee sections may be used in single spans and unlapped continuous spans in construction with the purlins butted to internal supports. They are ideal as eave purlins or where compact sections are required for detailing.
LYSAGHT® Zed sections
LYSAGHT® Zed sections, with one broad and one narrow flange are designed to nest neatly and are intended for lapping at internal supports. They may be used over single spans, unlapped and lapped continuous spans in construction. Lapped continuous spans result in a considerable capacity increase in the system.
